Fun Weekend

We had the best weekend. Kevin had it off so we tried to pack things in. Friday night we were lucky enough to get great seats to a Real Salt Lake soccer game. We had the best time. Andrew and Jackson did amazing and Andrew keeps asking when we can go to another one. We headed to the stadium early and hit up some of the booths. They were tossing out all sorts of fun stuff. You should have seen me boxing out :) I got us 2 Shirts and a couple of balls. Andrew was most excited about his face that he got painted with a soccer ball.(Now I have got to find some face paints)

Andrew and I wearing the shirts that I worked so hard to get us!!!!

Kevin and Andrew...They loved all the many treats we got them.

I had to put this pic in because of Jackson's cute face. He loved all the people and all the noise

On Saturday we headed up the Swiss Days in Midway. We went last year and had the best time so we decided to do it again. Well today we were smart enough to have the same idea as about 5,000 other people so we didn't stay too long. We got some lunch and did some shopping and then headed home.

I know, I look really attractive it is just the only pic we have of Swiss Days. We enjoyed our Dogs.

We made it home in time for some quick naps and then headed up to a party at my brothers for the BYU game. I love when football season starts up! BYU looked good...at least from the score... (I can't believe I am admitting this but I asked Kevin who they were playing on our way home. I do the kids so Kevin can watch) :) I get more into it when we are at the game.

Anyway, we had a great time and I wish every weekend was as fun as this one has been!

Excitement

Today I am just excited, maybe it is because it feels a little cooler outside so fall is coming, maybe it is because Kevin has been teasing me about planning ahead. I am not really sure but I thought I would start listing all the fun things I am excited about...

*Christmas...I know it is only Aug. But really it starts the day after Halloween for us.
*Carving pumpkins
*Carmel Apples
*Our 5k
*Jackson's Birthday. (this is what Kevin has been teasing me about. It is at the end of Oct. and I am buying supplies and planning everything out.
*My birthday (my mom takes all the girls to lunch and shopping for birthdays)
*Halloween- I already have costumes picked out. Everyone says Kevin looks like Jim from the office so he might be Jim and I could be Pam. I also already have the kids costumes.
*Day after Thanksgiving shopping!!!
*Going Shooting Thanksgiving weekend

Anyway, I could go on forever because everything makes me excited but I will stop. I love having things to look forward to. It is great. Right now there are so many fun things going on. After Christmas I will just have to start being excited for Lake Powell hu? I mean it would only be about 5 months away

MeatLoaf MeatLoaf Double BeatLoaf I Hate Meatloaf....Until now

I have never liked meatloaf...it sounds gross it looks gross and it always tasted gross. I found the best recipe with a secret ingredient....cheese. Anyway, we really like this recipe and since many of you have requested more recieps ... here it goes

Cheddar Meat Loaves
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. quick oats
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground beef
2/3 c. ketchup
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard

in a bowl beat the egg and milk. Stir in the cheese, oats, onion powder, and salt. Add the beef and mix well. I put it into 4 small loaf pans. Combine ketchup, brown sugar and mustard, Spoon over loaves. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 30-45 min...or until meat is not longer pink. It makes about 8 servings... If Kevin is eating it makes about 4 :)

I am proud to announce...(no I am not pregnant) JACKSON SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT. Yes I said Jackson slept through the night. After ten long months and hours of him crying himself to sleep he did it. I am so excited. Now we just need to work on me sleeping through the night. I kept waking up last night thinking...is he awake...he will wake up any time...is that noise him....he is going to wake up Andrew. Any ideas about how to get me to sleep through the night? :)

Life is Tough

I just hate work. I mean for the past 24 hours I had to stay at a HUGE house, watch 3 older kids, go swimming in their pool and go out to eat. I know it was very rough. I think I even made more money than Kevin did all day working in the Pharmacy. But SHHHH Don't tell him that :)

Their fun backyard.

Andrew enjoying all the Stuffed Animals throughout their house. He says they are all yawning

The slide in their house. Andrew loved it!

Andrew playing around in their movie theater.

Our Latest Greatest

I know every parent thinks their child is the funniest. I thought I might post some of our latest favorites.

Andrew swimming in a fountain. They asked us to get out or leave...how was I supposed to know there was no swimming in the fountain that was right next to a splash area?

Jackson crawls around all day with anything and everything hanging from his mouth.

Christmas in July. Andrew plays Santa and brings us all presents in his basket. The other day I took him to the store and he had to wear his hat. We got the funnist looks. One mom turned to me and said "It wasn't worth the fight hu?"

No I did not beat my child. He pulls himself up on everything and one time while getting back down he wacked his nose on the table. Poor kid.

Yes my shild still has a PLUG in his bed and in the car. I hate it. Anyway, he knows that he can't have gum and a plug so he decided to put his gum on the end of the plug so he could have it when we got out of the car. I guess I am just glad I didn't find it in his hair.

Andrew is our Low Rider. His pants are always falling off him...dispite his round face and large cheeks, his waist is small. Kevin just laughs because he claims he low rides after his mommy. Pants are just not comfortable on your waist.

Andrew plays with older cousins a lot. They always want to play dress ups and now he wants to all the time. I wear strange hats all day long.

My Buddy and Me

In nursery last week one little boy took a toy away from Jackson. Andrew ran up to him and said "You do not be mean to my brother. I love him" It was the cutest thing and made having two little boys close together worth it.

I am the first to admit that when we found out about Jackson we were a bit worried and overwhelmed thinking about two boys 18 months apart. It has turned out to be a blessing. I love that they have a buddy at all time. They are starting to play together. They also get very naughty together. Kevin and I have to leave the room half the time because we are laughing so hard and we don't want them get a reaction from us when they are being naughty.

I love these two boys and can't imagine my life without both of them.

(Sorry mom, I knew you would hate this pic.)

Daddy's Back

We are so excited that the summer semester of school is over. Kevin has been swamped with work, apartments, pharmacy tech training, and the PCAT.

For the last few months I have been a single mother...I shouldn't complain because I can ask Kevin for help when I really need it.(like when I put myself in timeout last night and locked myself in the bedroom)

Anyway, Kevin took the PCAT this summer so he spent as much time as possible studying for that. After that was over he had a semesters worth of work to do in just a few weeks. I might be exaggerating but it seemed like night and day I tried to have things planned so I could let him study. The semester ended today so once everything was in Kevin and I took off to celebrate.

We had a great time. I almost forgot what it was like to be kid less. I am so glad that the past two months are over. I am so proud of him because he did great in his classes and great on the PCAT. I have already got so many fun things I want to do with him. We are glad to have him back.....at least till next semester which starts in three weeks.

Andrew

Andrew thinks that he is the funniest thing ever. This might be because I am laughing all day at this silly kid. He says and does one funny thing after another. I love it because it is completely innocent. I think he takes after his daddy, but Kevin says it is me. It couldn't be me right?
