Winter Has Arrived

Winter has arrived. We have snow on the ground...not the 5 inches like they predicted but some. I love this time of year. I love the shopping and the crowds and the smells , the candy, the nativity and the decorations and the lights.....okay I could go on and on. I guess I am just so excited for this Christmas season. I have always loved this time of year but I think this year will be even more fun because we have a little one. He is only 9 months and won't know why we will waking him up at 5 in the morning on Christmas but still I feel like the Santa Clause magic is back. I hope everyone enjoys this time of year as much as I do.

Carving pumpkins is a tradition I love. Andrew also loved it.

Andrew did an Amazing job don't you think?

Andrew was the cutest little cow I have ever seen.

Andrew loved Halloween. He thought it was so much fun to have so many kids coming to our door. He also loved going trick-or-treating to the two houses we went to.

Just some fun Pics of Andrew

Andrew loves to play in the pans.

He has been sitting up for a little while now

but I just can't get over that cute smile.

Prunes Prunes the magical fruit the more you eat the more you poop.....

At least we hope so!

The Next Generation of Tullis/ Hinton Lawn Care!

I know our blog consists mainly of pictures of Andrew and the latest amazing thing he has done but I guess that is what happens when you have a baby. His cute smile was much more interresting than the dinner I made or the two times I was up last night. People always said you loose yourself in your kids. Now I can completely agree. Andrew is the coolest and most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me.(Except you Kevin, I love you too)

Well, so as you can see we have started Andrew off early mowing the lawn. That is his one job so far. He loves to hang out with that cute daddy of his! What can I say? I love my BOYS!

97th Percentile

Okay, so I took Andrew into the Doctor today for his six month checkup. I am a horrible mother of course because he had a virus that I didn't know about.....I just assumed the grumpiness came from teething. I guess I need to give myself a bit of slack. I mean it is not like they come with instructions or anything. I also found out that he is tall fairly skinny with a huge head. I am not joking. He falls into the 40th percentile for weight the 85th percentile for height and the 97th percentile for the size of his head. I just had to laugh. That just means he is going to be extra extra smart right?
Andrew we love you and know you will grow into the head!

six months old.....practically an old man!

Andrew was six months old yesterday. We can't believe it. He is getting big too fast. The bigger he gets, the more sad I think I will be when he gets bigger but he just gets more and more fun. Every age or stage is the greatest. These past six months our lives have changed dramatically.... little sleep, little free time, and lots of hugs and kisses. We love you Andrew and wouldn't change our lives for the world.

The Joys of Being Outside

Andrew loves the outdoors. He loves to swing, mow the lawn with his dad and play on the grass. When he is upset or tired and won't calm down I take him outside and sure enough he turns happy. I guess we will see just what happens this winter when it is too cold to be outside all day long.

Pine View

A few weekends ago we went up to Pine View and went camping and boating. We had such a great time. I thought Andrew might be hard in a tent and stuff but he amazed us again..... Just like in Lake Powel he did better than us. It got down into the 40's so we were really cold but i guess he was bundled good because he was happy as could be.

The Greatest Place on Earth!

Andrew in his spiffy Life Jacket!
My two Favorite Boys

Last week we went to the greatest place on earth...Lake Powell. We had a wonderful time and never wanted to leave. Andrew had some battles with the heat and with his life jacket. He was in heaven because I finally let him be naked. Now when I try to put clothes on him he just cries. He loved the boat...when he could stay awake. Overall we had an amazing week full of skiing, tubing, wakeboarding and seadooing.

I Love the Mountains

We went up the mountains yesterday for a fun picnic and a hike. We had such a great time with our Texas cousins. I forget how much I love the mountains. Because we are applying to medical schools I realized I don't know how much I will beable to be around them so I guess I need to take advantage while I can.

What city do I belong to?

You Belong in Amsterdam
A little old fashioned, a little modern - you're the best of both worlds. And so is Amsterdam.Whether you want to be a squatter graffiti artist or a great novelist, Amsterdam has all that you want in Europe (in one small city).

Quick update

Kevin and I are doing great. I mean how can life not be perfect when you have a new baby boy hu? Anyway, we love being parents and wouldn't change the 3 am feedings for anything.

Kevin is going to school and will be graduating next spring with a bachelors degree in Biology...which doesn't sound very interresting to me at all but i am thrilled that he likes it so much. In April Kevin took the MCAT which he felt quite confindent in. And now he is just beginning to apply to Medical Schools so we are keeping our fingers crossed that he will be able to get in since it is so competitive.

Kevin has really gotten into tennis lately. He plays in tournaments all the time. He used to tease me because I play but little did he know he would someday love the " Prepy sport" as he calls it. Since i have had so many problems with my back I have really taken up walking, and the dancemat. I guess they are not the ideal way to workout but what do you do hu?

I fill my days with regular feedings, Diapers, and playing a lot with friends and sisters. Andrew loves the water so we try to go swimming as much as possible and when that doesn't happen he gets a few baths a day. Anyway being a mother is a dream!

The Trio Began March 15, 2006

The Hinton Trio Began March 15, 2006. These pictures were of Andrew at about a month old. There were many changes after having a child but they were all worth it for our little boy.
